Duo Brikcius The Duo Brikcius is chamber
music ensemble created by two young
promising cellists (brother and sister) Anna Brikcius and František
Brikcius. Both founding members have a great deal with solo cello
repertoire. They both decided to increase their repertoire with music
written for this unusual combination (with great hidden potential) of
two cellos.
The main ideas of Duo Brikcius are:
- Study and perform works written for two cellos - Enable creation and performance of works that are not well know to the audience - Give courage to all contemporary composers (regardless to the nationality or the age) in creating music for this ensemble - Keep the tradition of already known composers - Present Czech music culture abroad - Bring other people joy of music |
